An innovative and respected recently retired Chief Police Officer with 30 years of public service and a proven track record of academic research and teaching at the university level. My research interests include family violence, homicide prevention, police use of force, hot spot policing, police legitimacy, and police leadership. I am a researcher-practitioner committed to evidence-based policing as well as a senior management professional who has successfully recruited to and led diverse organisations. I am currently designing and delivering accredited leadership, law enforcement, crisis management academic and vocational training for Government Entities of the United Arab Emirates.
